71 crops ready now, 1 to introduce later
Always consult your pediatrician before introducing new foods, especially allergens. Premature? Use your baby's adjusted age.
= high choking risk. Safe prep on the crop page reduces this. High-risk foods in the "introduce later" section can still be served safely once your baby is ready with the right prep.
Orange badges = allergen. What to do if there's a reaction.

Butterhead Lettuce
Soft, tender leaves torn small. The butter texture is easier for babies than crisphead varieties. Introduce with other foods.
Corn
Cut kernels off the cob. Lightly cook if not already done. Individual kernels are a great pincer grip food. Do not serve on the cob - a choking risk.
Ground Cherry
Halve each berry before serving. They pop open easily. The sweet pineapple-vanilla flavor makes them an instant favorite.
Lettuce
Soft butter lettuce or romaine leaves, torn small. Introduce gradually - the texture can be tricky. Best mixed into other foods early on.
Radishes
Steam or roast until soft - raw radish is too firm for babies. Cooking mellows the spice significantly. Slice into rounds or small pieces.

Acorn Squash
Dice roasted flesh into small pieces or offer as self-feeding spoon food.
Apple
Steam until fork-tender, cut into bite-size pieces. Roasted apple (375F for 20 minutes) gets naturally sweet and very soft.
Arugula
Wilted and finely chopped, mixed into pasta, eggs, or grains.
Asparagus
Cut into bite-sized pieces, well cooked. Tips are especially soft and easy.
Avocado
Soft cubes about 1/4 inch. Ripe avocado needs no cooking and holds its shape well for pincer grip. Roll pieces in hemp seeds or baby oatmeal for extra grip if too slippery.
Banana
Small soft pieces or thin rounds. Banana is very slippery, rolling pieces in hemp seeds or baby oatmeal improves grip significantly. Great pincer grip practice.
Basil
Continue as a flavor ingredient in family meals.
Beets
Dice into small cubes, roasted or steamed. Mix into grains or serve as finger food.
